Beginning Treble

  •  This course provides an opportunity for first-year chorus students with treble voices (9th graders and new upperclassmen) to utilize interactive musical skills in a performing ensemble.
  •  Students will experience lessons honing vocal technique, ensemble singing, and music literacy. This process-oriented group advances growth of the student's overall musicianship and promotes lifelong activity in music.
  •  At home practice is necessary to master musical skills.
  •  Musical performances are a requirement of this course.


Intermediate Treble

  •  This course provides an opportunity for returning chorus students with treble voices (upperclassmen) to utilize interactive musical skills in a performing ensemble.
  •  Students will experience lessons honing vocal technique, ensemble singing, and music literacy. This process-oriented group advances growth of the student's overall musicianship and promotes lifelong activity in music.
  •  At home practice is necessary to master musical skills.
  •  Musical performances are a requirement of this course.


Tenor/Bass Chorus

  •  This course provides an opportunity for first-year chorus students with changed voices to utilize interactive musical skills in a performing ensemble
  •  Students will experience lessons honing vocal technique, ensemble singing, and music literacy. This process-oriented group advances growth of the student's overall musicianship and promotes lifelong activity in music.
  •  At home practice is necessary to master musical skills.
  •  Musical performances are a requirement of this course.


Honors Vocal Ensemble

  • The BHS Vocal Ensemble is an auditioned vocal group of high-level musicians
  • Students will experience lessons honing vocal technique, ensemble singing, and music literacy. This process-oriented group advances growth of the student's overall musicianship and promotes lifelong activity in music.
  •  In addition, this course will extend and build upon lessons from previous choral courses to expand vocal development through the use of choral repertoire, score analysis, music theory lesson, and evaluating musical performances through listening activities
  •  At home practice is necessary to master musical skills.
  •  Musical performances are a requirement of this course.
